Hot Tapping in Newport, South Wales
IPS visited Wales on a snowy day recently to work with new clients Rapid Energy Ltd in Newport, South Wales.
Rapid specialise in the supply of temporary boilers. In this instance maintenance was taking place on the district heating main that serviced multiple buildings, including a care home.
Given the weather and the vulnerable residents, at no point could the heating and hot water be shut down.
IPS carried out hot tapping to 2 x 100mm LTHW riser mains, enabling connection of the temporary boiler and guaranteeing the continual supply of heat and hot water.
