Nine Elms in south London has been a hot spot of development for the past decade. New builds are mixed with refurbishments of iconic buildings. It rivals the City for the number of redevelopments taking place and our vans are regularly seen on the streets.

It was at one of these not quite so iconic buildings that IPS were called to carry out 2 x 150mm hot taps onto LTHW and 2 x 200mm onto CHW.

Work was to enable temporary boiler and chiller connections as part of modernisation works.  Taking place in the basement level plant room, the hardest part was the transportation of the new valves. Each 200mm valve weighed 104 kilos, with the 150mm value weighing only 54 kilos in comparison.

All work was successfully carried out within 6 hours.
